AP govt transfers 45 IPS officers
Hyderabad, Feb 7 (UNI) In a major reshuffle in the police department, the Andhra Pradesh Government today transferred 45 IPS officers.
According to an official release here, Alok Srivastava was posted as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of AP Police Housing Corporation Limited. After being promoted, K Durga Prasad has been retained in Greyhounds by upgrading the post of Inspector General of Police to the rank of Additional Director General of Police.
BL Sujatha Rao, Superintendent of Police (SP), CID was transferred to Nizamabad district while Mahesh Chandra Ladda was posted as Group Commander, Greyhounds, Hyderabad.
Y Gangadhar, waiting for posting, was posted as SP of Karimnagar whereas Devendra Singh Chauhan was given the post of SP of Intelligence.
Inspector General of Police Tejdeep Kaur Menon was posted as Controller Legal Meteorology. The release said on promotion, S Umapathi has been retained in CID and posted as Director of State Crime Records Bureau.
