Ukraine bans British poultry imports

KIEV, Feb 6 (Reuters) Ukraine has banned imports of British poultry in a bid to protect the country from bird flu, Ukraine's Veterinary Inspectorate today said.

Ukraine imports almost no British poultry.

The highly infectious H5N1 strain of bird flu was discovered over the weekend in turkeys on a farm in eastern England.
