Monica case hearing
Bhopal, Feb 6 (UNI) A local court today reserved until tomorrow its ruling on a defence application, under Section 308 of the Criminal Procedure Code, in a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem's starlet-girlfriend Monica Bedi is among the accused.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Raveendra Singh heard arguments on the veracity of accused-turned-government witness Shiraz's statements.
Advocate P C Bedi was the defence counsel. Monica was not brought to court.
In November 2001, the city police's Crime Branch registered a case at the Koh-i-Fiza Police Station against Salem, his wife Samira Jumani and Monica for having passports made at the regional passport office using the fake names Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Fauzia Usman respectively.
