CM reviews power projects
Hyderabad, Feb 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reviewed the progress of the A P Genco projects with Minister for Energy Md Shabbir Ali and officials at the Secretariat.
According to an official release here, Dr Reddy wanted the A P Genco to race against the time and complete all the projects before the schedule.
The officials told the Chief Minister that Rayalaseema TPP Stage Two, the second unit to generate 210 MW would be commissioned by April. 234 MW Jurala, (6x39) would be completed in 2008.
Vijayawada TPS Stage IV of 500 MW would be commissioned by July 2008. 500 MW Kakatiya TPP Stage I by December 2008, Rayalaseema TPP Stage III 210 MW by February 2009 and 500 MW by March 2010.
Kothagudem TPS Stage VI (1x500 MW) would be commissioned by December 2009 and Nagarjunasagar Tail Pond Dam (2x25MW)-unit-One by July next year and Unit-Two by November 2008.
The Chief Minister was informed that APGENCO had generated 26575 MU during April one 2006 to February four 2007 against a target of 25991 MU registering 102 per cent achievement and contributed 51 per cent of state's total energy requirement.
Md Shabbir Ali, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Jannat Hussain, APGENCO MD Ajay Jain and other officials attended the meeting.
