Uttar Pradesh government has suspended 2 jailers
Banda, Feb 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has suspended two jailers at the Banda district jail after three undertrials managed to escape from the prison.
According to administrative sources, jailer Naumi Lal and deputy jailer Ram Singh were suspended yesterday after the district administration submitted its report.
On Saturday night, three undertrials Vinod, Ram Babu and Bhura Singh had escaped by scaling the jail walls.
While Ram Babu was held on Sunday near Bhuragarh village on Banda-Mahoba highway, Bhura was arrested yesterday from his village.
Vinod is still absconding.
Three jail guards have already been suspended for negligence while at duty.
A hunt for the other accused was on.
