Wrestler hacked to death
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 5 (UNI) A wrestler was hacked to death by five persons in Parbhani, about 200 km from here, police said.
Punjab Deshmukh (25) was moving in a car around 1400 hrs yesterday when the assailants, who were in a Tata Sumo jeep, blocked way of the car after overtaking the vehicle.
Sensing trouble, the other occupants of the car managed to run away, while the assailants caught Deshmukh and brutally hit him on the head with sharp weapons.
Deshmukh died on the spot, police said.
However one of them, identified as Kishan Chandane, was arrested early today.
The murder was the outcome of an old enmity, police sources said adding that the police have also seized the vehicle used in the crime.
