Vice President arrives in temple town on two-day visit

Tirupati, Feb 5 (UNI) Vice- President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat who arrived here on his two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala from Hyderabad by a special aircraft at Teniguinta airport this evening.

Mr Shekhawat, accompanied by Andhra Pradesh minister Marrappa was received by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman B Karunakar Reddy and District Collector S S Rawat, among others, at the airport.

The Vice President reached Tirumala by road.

He was received by the TTD's Executive Officer APVN Sarma and Superintendent of Police, Charu Sinha.

The security was tightened in Tirupati and Tirumala, in view of Mr Shekhawat's visit.
