ULFA withdraws National Games boycott call
Guwahati, Feb 5: The United Liberation Front of Asom(ULFA) today withdrew the boycott call of the National Games ending suspense of over a month.
An e-mail statement signed by ULFA Chairman Aurobindo Rajkhowa informed that they had decided to withdraw the boycott call responding to an appeal issued by some of Asom's most loved and respected sportspersons.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has welcomed the development and hoped that the Games, beginning from February 9, would go ahead peacefully.
