TPI opens first Global Resource Centre in India
Bangalore, Feb 5 (UNI) TPI, the world's largest sourcing advisory firm, today opened its first Global Resource Centre in India here.
The Centre, with Research and Analytics Wing providing backend support to the global centres, was the first one to be opened outside its headquarters - the United States.
Addressing the media after inaugurating it, company Chairman Dennis McGuire said ''TPI intends to leverage the knowledge services expertise that India has started to showcase, offering our clients incisive market intelligence and support services.'' TPI Partner and Managing Director Peter A Allen, who was also present, said that accordng to 'TPI Index' for the Asia-Pacific region, the contract volume and value had reached a five-year high, with annualised revenues in the region growing at double the global rate and competition heightening as new players win increasing market share.
Mr McGuire said the outsourcing market in the Asia-Pacific region grew strongly in 2006 and the deals signed were worth over US Dollar 25 million, up by 43 per cent. The total value of these contracts had increased by 67 per cent -- an all time high in the last five years in the outsourcing activity.
