Three people die in indiscriminate firing in Eastern Terai

Kathmandu, Feb 5 (UNI) At least three people were killed when unidentified assailants indiscriminately opened fire today afternoon at Majuapur VDC of Saptari district in Eastern Terai, local media said.

All three succumbed to the bullet injuries, Kantipur online reported.

One of the deceased was identified as Jitendra Daita Yadav of Saptari district while identity of the two others is yet to be known, local police said.

''Eight attackers came in four motorbikes and opened fire on them indiscreetly killing them on the spot'', said local residents who were an eyewitness to the incident.

There is violence in the Terai region for the last few days for demands of more autonomy and federal republic system.
