Temperature dips after sudden rainfall
Kolkata, Feb 5 (UNI) The sudden rainfall has pulled down the minimum temperature to 20.5 degrees Celsius today just when the winter is about to bid adieu to the city.
The MET officials has forecast thunder showers accompanied by hail in some parts of the state towards the afternoon.
Due to the transition of the season and the moisture developed over the Bay of Bengal, Kolkatans would experience light thunder showers till the onset of monsoon.
The maximum temperature here today was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius. Cool breeze was also experienced during the evening following the rainfall.
However, the cloud cover increased the humidity to 93 per cent which reduced to 43 per cent as the day progressed.
Rainfall of about 5.3 mm was recorded till this morning.
