Chittoor, Feb 5 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party President (TDP) and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today said the party's policies would be changed, if necessary, and provide preference to the youth below 35 years.

Addressing a gathering here, while staging a dharna along with thousands of party workers in connection with 'pedala sankaravam' (blowing conch), he said his party would provide a major platform for the youth.

The party would change its policies for the benefit of farmers and poor people in the state. He would work for the poor and for the uplift of the economic status of the farmers until his death, he added.

He demanded that the government allocate Rs 1,000 crore in the coming budget for the welfare of the backward classes.

He alleged that the five per cent reservation announced for Musilms by the Congress government was not only controversial but it was also not implemented due to legal complication.

He promised that TDP would provide three per cent reservation to the Musilm minority, if the party come back to power.
