Sr journalist dies after crane hits vehicle

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) A Senior Correspondent of 'Sandhya Veer Arjun' died this morning after his vehicle was hit by a crane in Bhati Mines area of Mehrauli in South Delhi.

O P Shukla, who hailed from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, received serious head injuries after his two-wheeler was hit by a crane at about 1115 hrs in Ran Haola area of Bhati Mines in Mehrauli, said the police.

He was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared brought dead.

Mr Shukla had gone to meet the area MLA in connection with some 'story'.

Putting up in Pandav Nagar area of East Delhi, the senior journalist is survived by four daughters, a son and wife.

The cremation will be held at his paternal home in Jaunpur.
