Six found dead in Chinese restaurant in Germany
BERLIN, Feb 5 (Reuters) A man discovered his wife and five other people bound and shot dead in a Chinese restaurant in northern Germany early today, police said.
The bodies of the three men and three women were found in different rooms of the restaurant in the town of Sittensen.
''This morning at 12:30 a.m. (2330 GMT) a man wanted to pick up his wife from work there. He discovered several dead bodies, among them his wife,'' said police spokesman Detlev Kaldinski.
''He called the police and a manhunt got under way, sadly without success,'' he added.
Another restaurant employee found alive, but suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, was being treated in hospital.
Kaldinski said a very young child was also discovered unharmed in the building but was unable to tell police anything about the crime.
''We know nothing about the background to the crime and nothing about the motive. So far that is still unclear,'' the police spokesman said.
Police appealed for people who had been in the restaurant yesterday evening to contact them.
