Ramdev's yoga camp to begin in Meghalaya tomorrow

Shillong, Feb 5(UNI) Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev here today said severe diseases can be cured through yoga practices excapt some serious ailments.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Swami said aleopathic treatment, though very expensive, could only control diseases but not cure them.

He said that one can reduce weight, BP, asthama, blood sugar, and control thyroid and anaemia within seven days through yoga.

Cancer and AIDs can also be treated through yoga.

He said 71 crore people of the country could not afford modern medicines and yoga was the best and cheapest treatment.

He said yoga could be practiced from the age of 3 to 100 and if one practices it, one can give up alcoholism and drugs as well.

He said 37 yoga teachers would train people in the city and the medicines would be avialble in Haridwar.

Commenting on the availability of medicinal herbs in this hilly state, he said adding research would be conducted for better utilisation of the herbs available here.

He said within next three years about Rs 3 crores would be spent on research for medicinal plants.
