Panic in uptown Sriangar after loud blast

Srinagar, Feb 5 (UNI) Panic gripped the entire uptown here when a loud explosion was heard this evening, official sources said.

They said a loud explosion was heard in Rambagh area on the Srinagar-Airport road this evening. However, the exact location and cause of the blast was not immediatly known.

Police said reports about the blast were also received by the police control room. Police parties were rushed to different areas in the uptown to locate the blast site.
