Moaists remanded police custody

Purulia, Feb 5 (UNI) Two Maoists, Shysunder Mahato of Belpahari in West Midnapur and Ramkrishna Mahato of Boro in Purulia, produced before a local court, were today remanded to police custody for 14 days.

Purulia court's Chief Judicial Magistrate Sukumar Bandopadhyay ordered them for police remand, after being produced following their arrest last night.

They were arrested while going to collect money from a local school teacher of Bargamia village.

Police also seized a pipe gun and a printing press in a raid following a tip off, Purulia's Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Prasad.
