Mishra takes over as BSF IG Asom-Meghalaya frontier

Shillong, Feb 5 (UNI) Mr P K Mishra today took over the charge as the Border security force Inspector General of the Asom-Meghalaya Frontier.

Prior to this, Mr Mishra was on deputation with West Bengal Police, Special Protection Group and Parliament Security.

He had effectively commanded various BSF battalions in Srinagar during the peak period of militancy. He had apprehended several militants and killed hardcore militant Abu Gazi.

Mr Mishra had also commanded the counter-insurgency operations in Manipur and Nagaland.
