LJP burns Harbhajan's posters

Jalandhar, Feb 5: Activists of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today held demonstration and burnt Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh's posters in protest against his ''alleged campaigning'' for a Congress candidate in the February 13 Assembly polls in Punjab.

The protestors gathered at Shastri Chowk here, held a demontration and burnt his posters.

Mr Singh has reportedly participated in the election campaign of Congress nominee from Jalandhar Central Tejinder Singh Bittu.

Meanwhile, Mr Singh said he neither supports any particular party nor had he participated in anybody's campaign.

He told UNI that the Congress candidate and some of his supporters had visited his house and he entertained them out of courtesy. This should not be taken as 'participation' in the campaign, he added.
