Lalit Modi appears in court

Jaipur, Feb 5 (UNI) Rajasthan Cricket Association's president Lalit Modi appeared in a court today in connection with a case of scuffle and misbehaviour with proxy members of the association.

The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on February 24.

Mr Modi today filed a bail application, which was admitted by the court.

Modi's security guard Sujit and association member Aamin Pathan also appeared in the court. Another accused in the case Kuldeep Srivastav did not appear in the court today but was orrdered to be present in the next hearing.

It may be recalled that on November 19 last year, Modi has been accused of beating up proxy members in a special meeting of Association's members. Proxy members Anil Singh Shekhawat and Basant Haryana had filed a complaint in the court in this case.
