Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy appeals to maintain peace

Bangalore, Feb 5 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today urged people to not to get emotional and disrupt peace following the final verdict given by the Cauvery Tribunal.

In his initial reaction on the verdict, Mr Kumaraswamy said he would consult irrigation experts and discuss the future course of action at an all party meeting to be convened later in the day. '' I cannot react completely without a judgement copy in my hand,'' he added.

He urged cooperation by the people and farmers to help the government in taking up further steps within the legal framework.
