Jury inspects VSP

Visakhapatnam, Feb 5 (UNI) The five member National Productivity Committee (NPC) and an observer from the Prime Minister's Award Secretariat today inspected the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), in connection with the selection of the best integrated steel plant in the country for the Prime Minister's trophy for 2005-06.

The team comprising A K Vohra, N K Chawla, J C Aylawadi, B Gururaj and Pancham Sharma would witness a corporate presentation of VSP covering the performance and achievements of the plant during 2005-06 and 2006-07, visit major production units and hold discussions with the plant Chairman and Managing Director Y Sivasagar Rao.

The plant already received the Prime Minister's trophy for 2002-03 from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on May 20 last year.
