Gravity India diversifies into retail, entertainment

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) Maharashtra-based textiles weaver Gravity India Ltd today made public its plan to diversify into the business of retailing, building, construction, property development in Mumbai.

Foray into the entertainment industry also figures in its agenda, a statement said.

''With the opening for the global market and getting new business avenues, which are more profitable, Gravity desires to explore those business activates besides the present textile business,'' the company Chairman and Managing Director Rasiklal D Thakkar said.

The company has an installed textile weaving capacity of 3.5 lakh metres per month at its manufacturing units located at union territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli. The company currently exports its products to West Asia.

UNI
