DVB official sentenced to RI in 12-yr-old bribery case

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) The special CBI court today sentenced Delhi Vidyut Board assistant accountant Satish Bhalla to four years rigorous imprisonment for accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 twelve years ago.

Judge Sunil Gaur also slapped a fine of Rs 35,000 on Bhalla.

Bhalla was caught red handed on January 15, 1995, accepting the bribe from one Rajendra Tiwary for adjusting the excess electricity bill inadvertently paid by Tiwary's father-in-law.
