Couple found dead

Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) A middle-aged couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in their house in M G R Nagar in the city today.

According to police, 50-year-old Velu and his wife Velammaml(48) might have consumed poison late last night. As the neighbours found the house closed for a long time, and suspected something amiss, they informed the police.

Police rushed to the spot, broke opened the door and found the couple dead.

The bodies were removed to the Government Kilpauk Medical College hospital for post-mortem, police added.
