Councillor's son apprehended for raping young married woman

Akola, Feb 5 (UNI) The son of a former Municipal Councillor was today arrested for allegedly raping a deserted young married woman on the pretext of marrying her.

Police said Anand Tarachand More and the woman were known to each other for the past several months. Yesterday, he called her at his residence, situated in Akot File area of the city, and raped her on the pretext of marrying her.

The victim later filed a complaint with Police. More was held under section 376, 418 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police added.
