Consumer protection movement should be strengthened: CM
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 5 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has stressed the need for strengthening the consumer protection movement in the state.
He was speaking at a function to mark the inauguration of the Aurangabad bench of the State Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum here today. National Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum president and former Supreme Court judge M B Shah presided over the function.
The Chief Minister promised to ensure adequate manpower for the fora in the state for speedy redressal of consumers grievances. He also stressed the need for creating awareness on the consumer movement. ''Strict vigil and check is necessary to ensure justice for the consumers,'' he said.
