CM's winter sojourn political stunt, says BJP

Shimla, Feb 5 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh unit of the BJP today termed Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's winter sojourn to lower areas of the state a political stunt, saying he is merely making announcements without ensuring their implementation.

Addressing mediapersons here, BJP Spokesman Randhir Sharma said work has not started on a number of announcements made in the last year's budget proposals.

He said the chief minister had been playing cruel jokes with the unemployed people who were being made to appear in written exams and interviews time and again, involving lot of expenditure in coming and going, but the results were never announced.

''The Congress has very easily forgotten its promise of giving job to one person in each family,'' he said, adding that instead of listing its achievements during the last four years, he was criticising former chief minister without any rhyme and reason.
