CMPDI petrographers get international accredition

Ranchi, Feb 5 (UNI) The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited(CMPDI) has been awarded with the Single Coal Accrediation Programme(SCAP) by International Commitee for Coal and Organic Petrology (ICCP) for Vitrinite Random Reflectance Analysis and Maceral Analysis.

The certification was given to four petrographers of CMPDI to undertake petrographic analysis at international level and update themselves about the latest development in this field through direct access to international level, a release said here today.

The CMPDI claimed to be the only laboratory in the country with ICCP accredited petrographers.

The accredition is valid till December 2008.
