Close-circuit cameras installed in Bhopal railway station
Bhopal, Feb 5 (UNI) In order to keep close watch on crime and anti-social elements in Western Central Railway's Bhopal Railway station, close-circuit cameras had been installed in the station, WCR Rail Manager Ashok Kumar Agrawal said today.
''Video surveillance system had been installed keeping security of passengers in mind. Eighteen cameras had been put up including at platform, bridge and entrance,'' he said.
The cameras would function round-the-clock recording activities in the whole railway station. The clippings would be constantly monitored by online Rail Police Force at two online terminals helping in immediate action in case of some suspicious activity.
Mr Agrawal said the photographs will be stored in a terminal and could prove useful for investigation in case of some criminal incident.
