Blast in Asom-Bangla border

Guwahati, Feb 05 (UNI) Unidentified extremist group today exploded a bomb at Kamkhyaguri railway station of North Bengal injuring three, missing the Kamrup Express by just a whisker.

According to NF railway spokesman Trikalagga Rabha, the bomb exploded at 1310 hours on Platform number 2 of the Kamkhyaguri Railway station under the Alipurduar Railway Division.

The bomb injured one local resident and two vendors. But it missed the up Kamrup Express coming to Guwahati by just four minutes. The Kamrup Express left the station on 1306 and the bomb went off at 1310.

No group has claimed responsibiliy but the police suspected hand of both Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) and the ULFA.

Meanwhile, a bomb was recovered from a Guwahati-bound passenger bus in Amingaon, on the outskirts of the city.

Police said the seizure was made from a bus coming from Barpeta in lower Asom to the capital city.

However, none has been arrested.
