Aircel network touches 800 towns in TN

Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) Leading mobile service provider Aircel today expanded its network to 800 towns in Tamil Nadu with the inauguration of its mobile service in Amaravathi near Coimbatore.

With this launch, Aircel's network will now be available in 800 towns and 11,000 villages across the state, an official release said here.

Chief Executive Officer K V P Baskar said in the release, 'the inauguration of cellular services in Amaravathi is in line with our objective of extending our reach to a wider cross-section of customers in the state. We aim to extend our coverage to 1,200 towns during this year.' UNI
