Woman naxal slain

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 4 (UNI) A woman naxal was killed and one CRPF jawan injured in an encounter between extremists and police at Bhopalpattnam area in Dantewada district last night, police said today.

Late last night, the ultras had opened fire on a joint team of CRPF and police personnel. A woman naxal was gunned down in police retaliation. A rifle was seized from the spot.

The deceased naxal was yet to be identified.

A CRPF jawan was injured during the incident. He was sent to Bhopalpattnam hospital for treatment.
