TDP forms 3 member panel formed to look into allegations

Hyderabad, Feb 04 (UNI) The oppositon Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today constituted a three-member committee to inquire into the allegations made by the Party General Secretary Ch Ayyanna Patrdu against the high command over the selection of candidates for the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.

The TDP politburo, at an emergncy meeting today, chaired by Party president N Chandrababu Naidu directed the leaders and workers not to pass any remarks in the open against the party's decisions over the selection of candidates for the corporation elections.

The members of the committee Y Ramakrishnudu, Manda Jagannatham and K E Krishna Murty, would would look into the allegations made by Ayyanna Patrudu.

Mr Patrudu alleged that the party high command had ignored the sincere leaders and workers during selection of candidates for the Visakhapatnam Corporation elections.

The High Command had also not consulted senior leaders of the district and given preference only to the candidates having money power.

The committee would indepth study the allegations and suggest the party high command on the action to be taken against Ayyanna Patrudu.
