Strengthen peace process between India and Pakistan: Bazaz
Srinagar, Feb 4 (UNI) Welcoming Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's warning to militants, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum (DF) Chief Pandit Bushan Bazaz today appealed to separatist and mainstream parties to strengthen the peace process between India and Pakistan.
In a statement, he said the warning to militants by the Pakistan President was an encouraging step to take the peace process forward for finding a honorable solution to the Kashmir issue acceptable to all.
He appealed to leaders of all separatist and political parties to iron out their differences and make efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.
He said the peace process between India and Pakistan has generated a ray of hope in Kashmir and it should be continued.
If we fail to resolve the Kashmir issue during President Musharraf's rule, it will be a big mistake, Pandit Bazaz added.
He urged the Indian leadership to respond to Pakistan President's proposal for restoration of peace in South Asia.
