No need for Army op against naxals: Govr
Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, Feb 4 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Governor and former Intelligence Bureau chief E S L Narasimhan believes that there is scant need for an Army operation against this state's naxal activities.
''Militancy will be stamped out without military assistance. If the ultras take the initiative for parleys, it will be considered,'' he told mediapersons yesterday after visiting Salwa Judum (Peace Mission) camps at Dornapal and Bhairamgarh in extremism-affected south Bastar.
Hoping that villagers residing in the camps would soon get a chance to return home, Mr Narasimhan added that confidence was building up in the villagers.
