Media has dual role in society: Parthasarathi

Hyderabad, Feb 4 (UNI) Media plays a vital role not only in shaping the public opinion but also in setting public agenda in the society, Information and Public Relations Special Commissioner C Parthasarathi said today.

Inaugurating the Andhra Pradesh Chapter of Indian Media Centre (IMC) at Ranga Reddy district near here, he said the media was the primary source for creating awareness among the people.

He called upon the journalists to strictly follow the code of ethics and moral values.

He said the Indian Media Centre served as a common platform for the fourth estate not only to redress their problems but also to share the innovative and latest developments taking place around the globe.
