Man arrested for kidnapping girl

New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) The Delhi Police have nabbed a person, who allegedly kidnapped a minor girl from Dilshad Garden area in North-East Delhi last year.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rupinder Kumar said the police arrested Md Imam alias Imamuddin(21) while he was driving a stolen motorcycle.

During interrogation, Imam allegedly confessed to have kidnapped a 17-year-old girl from the area.

To solve the case, police had declared a reward of Rs 10,000 for the person who provided any information on the girl.

Since then the accused fled to neighbouing Shahibabad and was living under an asumed name of Ravi.

He had allegedly stolen the motorcycle from Central Delhi.
