J'khand govt should pay heed to home guards demands: Munda
Ranchi, Feb 4 (UNI) Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda said that the state government should adopt "amicable attitude" towards the demands of home guards to avoid law and order crisis in state.
Mr Munda, in a press release issued here today, alleged that lackadasical attitude of the UPA-led Madhu Koda government had forced the home guards to stage demonstration on February 26.
The Leader of Opposition said the government should pay heed to their demands, including increase in maximum age to 60 years besides increasing their daily allowances.
Mr Munda said based on the national criteria the erstwhile NDA government recommended to increase the number of home guards to 28024 but the present UPA-led Madhu Koda government was not even concerned about those issues.
Mr Munda would join their agitation if the demands were not fulfiled, the release said.
