Irated villagers wound 10 policemen

Bulandshahr, Feb 4 (UNI) At least 10 police personnel were seriously injured after irate villagers pelted stones on them in this district today.

On January 27, unidentified miscreants had abducted Nadeem from Pahasu town.

Police had arrested one accused but failed to find out any clue about the victim.

Irked over the incident, a mob staged a 'dharna' in Pahasu town.

At least 10 policemen were injured after it resorted to stone pelting.

The demonstrators also torched a police jeep.

The mob could only be brought under control after police fired in the air.

Meanwhile, police have taken some persons in custody.
