Four killed as tractor plunges into canal

Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 4 (UNI) Four persons were killed when the tractor in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a canal at Siripalle near here today.

Police said the deceased, all labourers, were identified as Kamana Nataraj (34), Pedalanka Rambabu (30), D Ramamoorthy (32) and Ambedkar Nagart Srinivasa Rao (28).

The bodies were fished out and sent for post-mortem, police added.

Andhra Pradesh Animal Husbandry Minister G Surya Rao conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and promised financial help.
