CPI agitation against price hike from tomorrow
Hyderabad, Feb 4 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) would launch a two-day agitation in Andhra Pradesh protesting against the hike in prices of essential commodities from tomorrow.
Party state secretary K Narayanana in a statement today alleged that the state government had not only failed to control the price hike but also increased the prices of Milk, burdening the people further.
Urging the government to open retail outlets at various places to supply essential commodities, he said besides rice, chillies, oils and pulsues should also be supplied through the fair price shops in the state.
The government should take action against the hoarders and the vigilance department should keep a close watch on private godowns, he added.
