Cong members damage bank

Khargone, MP, Feb 4 (UNI) A case has been registered against 60 Congress leaders and workers in connection with damage to property at this district's Agricultural Cooperative and Rural Development Bank.

The bank was targeted yesterday.

''Following watchman Mohabbat Kushwaha's complaint, the case was registered against Madhya Pradesh Congress President Subhash Yadav's son Arun, district Congress chief Sildar Patel, former district panchayat president Totaram Mahajan, Congress Sewadal Chief Organiser Hardeep Singh Bhatia, Manmohan Singh Chawla and the others,'' Town Inspector Santosh Singh Bhadoria said today.

The Congress protested against alleged irregularities in the first phase of a cooperatives poll in this district's Bhikangaon, Jhiranya, Gogawan and Bhagwanpur blocks yesterday. A cooperative body's deputy registrar was also subjected to misbehaviour.
