Coca Cola to install 50 RWH structures

New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) Coca-Cola India will install 50 rainwater harvesting (RWH) structures across the country during 2007, ten of which will be installed in Delhi.

Last year, the company had installed 40 RWH structures in the country of which 10 structures were installed in Delhi. The company has now commissioned 270 RWH structures across the country, including 80 structures in the national capital.

''The initiatives on water conservation and awareness is in keeping with the Government's plans during the current year which has been declared as the water year,'' company's Vice-President Public Affairs and Communications Deepak Jolly said while receiving the state Government's 'Bhagidari Award' for the fourth consecutive year.

Coca Cola reiterates its commitment to working with communities across India in its bid to contribute to mutual growth and development, he added.

The company has undertaken many projects in paper and PET recycling, education, health and disaster relief.

It also provides extensive support for community programmes across the country, with a focus on education, health and water conservation.
