Chargesheet against Tushar Gandhi
Ujjain, MP, Feb 4 (UNI) A local court has admitted a chargesheet against six people, including Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson Tushar Gandhi, for his comments against the Brahmin community holding it responsible for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination.
The petition has been filed by Brahmin community's Yogesh Vyas, Devendra Shukla and Vijyendra Shastri. The complaint was brought before Judicial Magistrate Tanveer Ahmed Khan's court here yesterday.
The next date of hearing has been fixed on February 28.
Apart from Mr Tushar Gandhi, others chargesheeted include senior journalist M J Akbar, Mr Manmohan Gupt, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, District Collector Neeraj Mandloi and Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad.
In their statements, Mr Vyas and Mr Shastri alleged that the statement provoked casteist enmity and insulted a particular community. Mr Shukla's statement has not been registered so far.
