Centre not interested to dismiss UP govt: BJP
Gorakhpur, Feb 4 (UNI) Attacking the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre, the BJP today expressed astonishment as to why it was not dismissing the Samajwadi Party government in UP for misrule.
Talking to mediapersons here at the Gorakhnath temple, senior BJP leader Swami Chinmayanand claimed that there were enough grounds, including the communal flareup in Gorakhpur and ''dismal'' law and order situation in the state, which can lead to the dismissal of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government but he did not understand why the Centre is not doing it.
''It seems that the Centre is ''hand-in-glove'' with the Samajwadi Party (SP)-led UP government. Congress is a political humbug and is only befooling people by criticising the state government,'' the former Union Minister alleged.
He maintained Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal should have taken stock of the riot racked Gorakhpur during his visit. Instead, he was more interested in politics than solving the situation, he charged.
