4 policemen booked for murdering a villager
Moradabad, Feb 4 (UNI) Four police personnel, including an inspector, have been charged with the murder of a villager in Jyotibafulainagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
When the police team went to arrest an accused who had ''disturbed peace'' during the moharram procession in Patai Khalsa village under Didoli police station area, they clashed with the villagers, in which one person was killed last night, police today said.
The villagers have lodged an FIR against an inspector, sub-inspector and two constables, alleging ''the police barged into the house of Mugal Shah -- a resident of Dhakia village and beat him black and blue, in which Shah died on the spot.'' Meanwhile, local police had been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
