Woman among two killed, 3 soliders wounded in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 3 (UNI) Two people, including a woman, were killed and three soldiers wounded in overnight accidents in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.

He said a speedy truck hit 65-year-old Fazi at Chursoo on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway under the jurisdiction of Police station Awantipora.

She later succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.

In another incident, an Army Gypsy skidded off the road at Titanic mode on the highway at Qazigund resulting in injuries to three soldiers, including the driver. The injured have been hospitalised.

The police recovered a body of one Ghulam Qadir Sofi near Miskeen Bagh under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rainawari.
