Woman accuses policeman of rape

Gorakhpur, Feb 3 (UNI) A woman was allegedly raped by a police personnel in this district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Senior Superintendent of Police S K Bhagat said the incident took place under Gorakhnath police station area, where policeman Yaswant Singh criminally assaulted a woman inside the Gorakhnath temple complex.

The incident occurred when for the first time in the last 6 days, cufew was also relaxed in the Gorakhnath area from 1500 hrs till 1700 hrs.

Investigations were on.
