Top counter insurgent killed in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 3 (UNI) A top counter insurgent was killed by militants at Hajan in north Kashmir today, official sources said.

They said militants shot dead the top leader of counter insurgency group ''Ikhwan'' Rafiq Ahmad Parray alias Ashiq at main market Hajan.

Ashiq, who was working in the Water Works department, was close associate of Mohammad Yousuf Parray alias Kuka Parray, founder of the Ikhwan.
